SUMMARY

New build New build Community Centre for the local residents constructed from a Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) structure clad in an A2 Rated aluminium PPC secret fix system.

Main challenge

The primary challenge on this project was the delivery of a highly complex façade design, featuring rising ridgelines, continual changes in plane across elevations and soffits, and the integration of five distinct cladding profiles. Achieving a seamless interface between these systems required careful planning, detailing, and execution.

PROJECT GOAL

The goal of this project was to successfully deliver a visually striking and technically complex façade in line with the architectural design intent, while ensuring high-quality installation across all elevations. This included achieving seamless transitions between multiple cladding systems and maintaining consistency despite the varying geometries of the structure.

KEY SERVICES

Tetraclad were responsible for the installation of a range of cladding systems across the building envelope, incorporating five distinct but interfacing façade profiles. A key aspect of the works was ensuring full compliance with current fire safety regulations through the use of A2-rated, non-combustible materials across all elevations and soffits.

The scope also included the installation of fire barriers and cavity barriers, ensuring effective compartmentation throughout the façade system in line with regulatory requirements.

The installation was carried out across complex geometries, including rising ridgelines and multiple changes in plane, requiring careful coordination to maintain both design intent and fire performance. Particular attention was given to the integration of all systems to ensure continuity of fire compliance alongside a high-quality finish.
